Published:Saturday | February 29, 2020 | 12:00 AM

AFTER dominating at last year’s Gibson McCook Relays, the respective inter-secondary boys and girls’ champions, Kingston College and Edwin Allen High, are again in pole position to top their rivals at the 2020 renewal of the prestigious relay carnival. Below are top three predictions in selected relays:

HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS

4x100M Class Four

St. Jago High started the season on a high after an impressive record run of 47.61 seconds at the Camperdown Classics as Hydel ran well for second in 47.91. At Central Championships it was Edwin Allen who won in 47.69 ahead of St Jago 47.80 and Hydel 47.89. Another close finish is expected here but St Jago gets the edge.

1. St Jago

2. Edwin Allen

3. Hydel

4x100m Class Three

No stopping Hydel, they should win on a canter.

1. Hydel

2. St. Jago

3. Holmwood

4x100m Class Two

History is in the making here as Edwin Allen are set for something special by becoming the fastest ever high school quartet in the world. Following a record breaking 43.80 seconds at the Central relays where they had several bad exchanges they could surpass the 43.62 their teamdid to win at Penn Relays a year ago.

4x100m Class One

Edwin Allen, without Kevona Davis were third at the Central Championships but with Davis on the team at the Milo Western Relays they recorded 44.80 seconds to win the only Class One team under 45 seconds so far this season. They should get back to winning ways.

HIGH SCHOOL BOYS

Class One 4x100m
