Olympic 110m hurdles champion Omar McLeod announced on Friday that he is now a Puma-sponsored athlete.

McLeod posted a picture on Instagram and Twitter, sporting a Puma-branded white shirt and holding a Puma sneaker to his head, with the words: “@puma: Hey Mr Silk, it’s official, welcome to the family! Happy to be a part of the #foreverfaster family! It feels good.”

The 2017 world champion had been signed with Nike since he turned pro in 2015.

Puma is the current sponsor of the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association as well as the Jamaica Olympic Association and is also the kit supplier for most of Jamaica’s top athletes and high school track and field programmes.
