DOWN-IN-CLASS speedster RUNAWAY ALGO made short work of yesterday’s Bridge 99FM feature race for overnight-allowance runners, going gate-to-wire in the seven and a half furlong event.

A prospect for the US$125,000 Mouttet Mile on December 3, the United States-bred colt clocked a fast 1:30.4 on a wet track, outclassing ONEOFAKIND, who chased from the half-mile but was no match reporting off a six-month break.

Partnered by Christopher Mamdeen for trainer Dale Murphy, the Algorithms-Misunify colt carried topweight 126lb, sending a stinging message with his fifth win from nine starts.

Meanwhile, leading trainer Jason DaCosta, who started the afternoon $4 million clear of champion Anthony Nunes in their stakes battle, earned himself breathing room with SILENT MISSION’s 19-1 upset victory in the six-furlong Ronron Trophy.

Partnered by Javaniel Patterson, SILENT MISSION stormed home along the rail for the second time in five days to stun rivals up in class, landing the event for non-winners of four races in 1:13.1.
