Referee Andre Farquaharson called off the Jamaica Premier League (JPL) encounter between Chapelton Maroons and Mount Pleasant Football Academy at 1:20 pm today after hosts Chapelton Maroons failed to show for the 1 pm match at Effortville Community Centre.

Match Commissioner Anthony Gibbs said he had not gotten any correspondence from Chapelton nor the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) for the absence of the Clarendon-based team.

The Gleaner understands that since the firing of coach Lenworth Hyde, Chapelton Maroons are unable to field a team because several players are unavailable.
