The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) and the St. Mary Football Association have expressed condolences about the sudden passing of administrative assistant Melony Henry.

Henry had served as the administrative assistant of the St. Mary FA for 14 years.

JFF General Secretary Dennis Chung sent his condolence to the St. Mary FA and the family of Henry.

“On behalf of the Jamaica Football Federation, we would like to send our deepest condolences to the St. Mary Football Association over the passing of Melony Henry. Administrative assistants form an integral role of any organisation, and Melony was someone, who demonstrated high levels of professionalism and great work ethic.”

The St. Mary FA praised her work as an exemplary administrator in their statement of condolence, proclaiming Henry to have been St. Mary’s ‘walking encyclopedia of football’.

“Her passing has shocked us. Ms. Henry was an exemplary administrator and a selfless individual who went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that things were in place. She made life easier for clubs, executives and administrators. She was indeed a walking encyclopedia for football in the parish.”
