It was the worst possible end to an impressive race by Roshawn Clarke in the men's 400m hurdles final as the Jamaican stumbled over the final hurdle and registered a 'Did Not Finish' (DNF) as a result.

Clarke was firmly in medal contention down the home stretch as he came off the bend behind leaders Rai Benjamin and Karsten Warholm.

With just 40 metres to go, Clarke clipped the final hurdle and came crashing down on the track in the Stade de France.

Following the race, Clarke was consoled by silver medallist Warholm and Qatari athlete Abderrahman Samba.
