Unbelievable Force odds on for Gerry Skelton Memorial

UNBELIEVABLE FORCE’s brave front-running bid in the slop, which led to Jamaica Derby runner-up RUN JULIE RUN being caught at the wire by RAINSVILLE in the Errol ‘Big Sub’ Memorial at a mile, makes the United States-bred filly unbeatable in Saturday’s Gerry Skelton Memorial at five and a half furlongs.

Hunting a hat-trick of wins on October 19, UNBELIEVABLE FORCE took on RUN JULIE RUN, peeling three lengths clear turning for home and was still full of running a furlong out when a length and a quarter clear of the local-bred grey.

However, splits of 45.3, 58.0, 1:12.1, and 1:26.0 took toll a half-furlong out, causing UNBELIEVABLE FORCE to hang left, drifting under pressure from RUN JULIE RUN’s rally. Though weakening into fourth, a mere two and a quarter lengths away, after RAINSVILLE capitalised on the collapsed pace, UNBELIEVABLE FORCE’s effort has since been franked by not only RUN JULIE RUN but also third-place SHEER DELIGHT.

RUN JULIE RUN returned to charge at ATOMICA on her first grade-one outing, the Jamaica Cup, at nine and a half furlongs on November 9, failing by a half-length, finishing ahead of imported FUNCAANDUN, who had won three consecutive races at the level.

SHEER DELIGHT, a Mouttet Mile-aspirant, placed third on his subsequent outing, November 2, behind IMPRESSIVE FORCE and SUPREMASI, then won last Saturday at nine furlongs and 25 yards when stretched out in the United Racehorse Trainers Association of Jamaica Trophy with blinkers and figure-8 fitted.

UNBELIEVABLE FORCE blazed five furlongs round in 59.0, ‘easy’, as denoted by the clockers, last Thursday morning. The Gerry Skelton shouldn’t be much of a race for the McCraken-Debit or Credit filly with Raddesh Roman retained by Philip Feanny.
