Personal attacks on judge reprehensible – OECS Bar

THE VALLEY:

The OECS Bar Association (OECS Bar) has “strongly condemned’ what it termed “the recent vicious attacks” on the Grenada-based High Court judge, Justice Raulston Glasgow, following his decision last week to dismiss 10 election petitions filed by the main opposition United Workers Party (UWP) challenging the outcome of last December’s general election in Dominica.

In a statement, the OECS Bar said it was joining the Dominica Bar Association in condemning the actions of Opposition Leader Lennox Linton on the matter.

“We have seen social media postings, memes and heard in particular the recording of a statement which we understand was delivered by the leader of the opposition on Q95 Radio which openly assert that Justice Glasgow’s decision was somehow politically influenced.”
