Spanish Town unites

The editor Sir:

It was not the youth, as usual, who opened our doors in the last two weeks, it was the humble wonderful people of Spanish Town who brought in bags of clothing for the people of Haiti, who suffered so much loss, whose families simply vanished underneath the rubble of buildings.

Spanish Town's heart opened up, and it was surprising to see the pairs of shoes and the beautiful clothing that were brought in, all in excellent condition, and some brand new. It showed us another part of our hearts here in Spanish Town - that we are a loving, caring people, who can rise to any occasion.

Spanish Town Citizens Against Gun Violence truly wishes to thank each and every one and we also thank Food for The Poor whose doors we walked through to deliver these gifts, as they would be the final leg of the delivery process for Haiti.

I am, etc.,
