Downtown Montego Bay is moving to Bogue Estates and businesses on the tourism capital's Hip Strip have joined the exodus.
On Monday, GraceKennedy's First Global Investments became the latest company to connect to the new city being built at Fairview Shopping Centre in Montego Bay.
First Global Financial Services, First Global Bank, Jamaica International Insurance Company, and Allied Insurance Brokers opened their doors to welcome customers in what they have dubbed, "bigger, brand new quarters", which also includes a new drive-thru teller service.
According to the senior manager - corporate communications, Gail Abrahams, they had outgrown their original place of abode, and the move was part of their business expansion plans for growth. "In addition, we will now be able to provide better service to our clients with the addition of the drive-thru services for FGB; more parking facilities and definitely more space."
