Promoters of the annual Smirnoff Beach J'ouvert are promising that this year's event scheduled for April 3, will be another fun-filled affair.

The all-day party will take place at the James Bond Beach in Oracabessa, St Mary.

At Tuesday's launch, organiser Michael Ammar said the event will deliver its usual high energy and will feature some of soca's hottest artistes and DJs.

The show will see husband-and-wife team Bunji Garlin and Fay-Ann Lyons, and Jamaica's own 'Mr Holiday' himself, Ding Dong. The high-energy music will be provided by Private Ryan, DJ Smoke, DJ Omar, and Ammar noted that there will be a surprise DJ.

Dianne Ashton-Smith, communications manager of Red Stripe, said Smirnoff has promised to add a unique flavour to the event and there will be lots of surprises. She said revellers will get to enjoy Smirnoff 21 mixed with Smirnoff Green Apple cocktail, among other mixes.

"This year's Beach J'ouvert will be memorable," said Ashton-Smith.

Both Ashton-Smith and Ammar are imploring people, come out and have a great time, get painted and plastered with mud, and enjoy good company on the beach.
