If everyone made shopping this fun, more people would grab a bag. The innovative marketing team at National Commercial Bank (NCB) told its media partners and clients to come out and get their 'swag bag' at the bank's media appreciation party last Sunday. The bag was for shopping and equipped with specially made 'swag bucks', guests happily did that, getting great deals.

The 'shopping area' was the NCB Wellness and Recreation Centre, which was transformed into a flea market. There was literally something for everybody. Digicel's 4G offering was a big draw; Face To Face and Totally Male kept you looking and feeling good; Kool Runnings Water Park and the Courtleigh Hotel's group gave you options to spend your free time; and Smart Mobile Solutions had stuff for your phone. Wassi Art had fine pieces for the home (including jewellery from Bianca Bartley) and there was even food; Chocolate Dreams and Bin 26 Wine Bar doing the honours in that category. The DJ kept the music lively getting folks to show their swag while moving to the beat.

And dancehall artiste Mr G, whose current hit, Swaggerific, was part of the inspiration for the event, gave a short but totally entertaining set, including some of his hits from 15 years ago.

Guests out included Janella Precius, Dara Smith, Nicole Hayles-McGowan, Kay Osborne, Karyl Walker, Rohan Powell, Mark Linehan, Donovan White, Kerlyn Brown, Fabia Phillips-Lawrence, Damien Phillips, Ian Burnett, Elon Parkinson, Dwayne Berbick, Andrew Canon, Julian Richardson, Dina-Kay Burrowes, Winston Cassanova, Cassius Watson, Alia Lewis, Sharon Schroeter, Mark Thompson and Grace-Ann Eldemire.
