SAJ stages second annual health fair

The Shipping Association of Jamaica (SAJ) last week hosted its second annual industry health fair, in partnership with Kingston Wharves Limited (KWL) and KCT Services Limited.

The health fair focused on the physical and financial health of industry members with special presentations by the National Health Fund, Salad Masters and a one-hour work-out session with Karelle Ashley of Jamfit.

Members of the shipping industry received general health check-ups, testing from the Heart Foundation of Jamaica, as well as free eye testing from Island Eye Wear and specially discounted services from The Dental Club. The National Blood Transfusion Service was also present to facilitate the donation of blood by industry members.

The health fair featured a special sales day by Appliance Traders Limited. Booth participants included Lasco Distributors, Herbalife, Nestlé, Allied Insurance Brokers, Sagicor, X-ray and Diagnostics Limited, C&WJ Credit Union, Jamaica Biscuit Company, Amalgamated Distributors, Life Essential's Limited, Organo Gold, Indies Pharmacy and Stanford and Earl's Juice Bar.
