The Maritime Industry will be celebrating Maritime Awareness Week, September 22 to 27. Below is the list of activities to observe the week.

Theme: 'Sustainable Development: IMO's Contribution Beyond Rio +20'

Activities to celebrate the week:

Sunday, September 22: Thanksgiving Service to be held at Church of Reconciliation - 346 Basie Avenue, Portmore, St Catherine, 7:15 a.m.- 9:00 a.m.

Monday, September 23: Launch of Open Day Ceremony (education exhibition) at the Caribbean Maritime Institute - outside broadcast (9 a.m.-1 p.m.)

10 a.m.- 2 p.m. (announcement of winners for essay and song competitions)

Tuesday, September 24: Continuation of CMI's Exhibition, Demonstrations and Simulation activities 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Wednesday, September 25: Continuation of CMI's Exhibition, Demonstrations and Simulation activities - 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Thursday, September 26: Newspaper supplement
