England draws second Test

England drew the second Test against hosts Sri Lanka, to keep the series alive, after rain stops the match in Colombo.



England resumed play this morning on 48 without loss. They were 250 for three before play was halted at tea.



At the closeKevin Pietersen was 45 not out and Paul Collingwood on 23.



Earlier, the Englishman wiped out a 197-run first innings deficit during the afternoon session to leave themselves with a 53-run lead at the interval.



England will now travel to Galle for the final Test with a chance to level the series.



Sri Lanka lead the three-Test series 1-nil.



Final score in the game: Sri Lanka 548 for nine declared; England 351 and 250 for three.
