Jamaica Trading Services (JTS), a local logistics provider, celebrated its 25th anniversary on June 14. The company was established in 1988 by Philip Jackson to provide services to Jamaicans returning home from the United Kingdom.
"The company was established primarily to provide personalised service to customers wishing to resettle in their homeland," Jackson said.
"We wanted to ensure that the transition was a smooth one with little or no hiccups."
JTS has, since 1988, expanded its offerings to provide a wide range of logistics services including: door-to-door service, courier service, customs brokerage, freight forwarding and trucking for both ocean and air cargo.
The company has, over the years, developed expertise in handling personal effects, commercial and project cargo.
JTS has expanded its markets to include not only the United Kingdom, but worldwide, with its main markets being the United States of America, Canada, the Caribbean, Panama, Brazil and the Far East.
This coverage is possible through partners such as ITN Worldwide, West Indies Freight, Transpak ship International, Air Sea Worldwide and Blackburn Shipping.
EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE
"JTS stands out for its excellent customer service. We consistently review and revise our customer service policies to be in a position to satisfy the ever-changing need of our valued customers and principals," Jackson stated.

The company is a member of the Shipping Association of Jamaica, Freight Forwarders Association of Jamaica, Custom Brokers and Freight Forwarders Association of Jamaica, Jamaica Exporters Association of Jamaica, the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce, World Cargo Alliance and the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations.
