SAJ honours stalwarts
The Shipping Association of Jamaica (SAJ), in celebration of its 75th anniversary, specially recognised three past presidents who contributed to the development of the shipping industry.
Laurence Paul Scott, Geoffrey Robert Collyer and Robert Bell were recognised during the 75th Anniversary Gala and Awards Banquet hosted by the SAJ on October 30 at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel.
The banquet also saw SAJ recognising outstanding stevedores - Newton Brown, Worker of the Year; Richardo Barrett, second runner-up to Worker of the Year and Hamlyn McKenzie, third runner-up to Worker of the Year.
Workers of the Quarter were also awarded during the ceremony - Paul Marsh, first quarter; Otis Green, second quarter, and Paul Williams, third quarter.
