Nesta Carter and American Justin Gatlin will clash over 100 metres at the Golden Gala, Rome IAAF Diamond League meeting, on June 4.
American Mike Rodgers and Kim Collins of St Kitts and Nevis will also take part in the event.
Gatlin is the sprinter to beat, especially since his 2014 dominance, and impressive relay outings for the USA in 2015.
He helped the USA to destroy Jamaica at the Penn and World Relays.
Meanwhile, French sprinter Christophe Lemaitre has opted for the 200 metres.
The men’s 800 metres promises to be a good show, with Ethiopian world champion Mohammed Aman, the Olympic silver medallist Nijel Amos of Botswana and Polish European champion Adam Kszczot all confirmed.
The women’s 100 metres hurdles will feature the last two Olympic champions, American Dawn Harper-Nelson and Australian Sally Pearson, as well as the USA’s world champion, Brianna Rollins.
