The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) has expressed its concern with the developments in world football within the last 48 hours involving the indictment and the arrest of several football officials including those from the CONCACAF.
A JFF release late yesterday evening said president, Captain Horace Burrell, has expressed shock and disbelief regarding the developments.
"I am extremely disappointed with the whole situation and the negative effect that this is having on the sport globally and regionally," Burrell said.
The release added: The JFF has consistently condemned all acts of corruption in the sport, and this case is no different.
The Jamaica Football Federation takes this opportunity to reassure our fellow Jamaicans and Jamaica's football loving public, in particular, of our relentless commitment to the various programmes designed toward the continued growth and development of Jamaica's football.
We wish to thank all concerned for their understanding as we are unable to make any further comments at this time as we await the results of ongoing investigations.
