Social and political commentator Richard Crawford says the finance minister, and by extension the government, needs to outline to the country the concrete steps it will take to turn around the economy.
Crawford says Phillips' address last night lacked specifics on actual plans and programmes to grow the economy.
He says the country must be told how the government plans to utilise the sacrifices made by public sector workers and other working Jamaicans to satisfy targets under the deal with the International Monetary Fund for the betterment of all Jamaicans.

Crawford also says small and medium enterprises are in need of stimulus from the government.
