The case against embattled attorney Lennox Gayle and several co-defendants, who were arrested last April in connection with a massage parlour scandal, has been set for hearing in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate's Court over three days, from October 26 to 28.
Gayle and six of his female co-accused - Kadian Grey, Nyoka Jolly, Sheline Reid, Shavel Harriot, Shanique Fennell, and Amanda Wallace - were given the hearing dates and had their bails extended when they appeared in court on Thursday after it was disclosed that legal representation for the women had been finalised.
A bench warrant was activated for a seventh co-defendant in the case, Kiwania Cole, as she was absent from Thursday's proceedings. The warrant had previously been ordered but was stayed until Thursday's court date.
Gayle, who is represented by attorneys Churchill Neita and Dwight Reece, is accused of false and misleading conduct in relation to allegations that he was running a massage parlour in Montego Bay, where prostitution was said to be taking place.
Gayle was arrested on April 16, 2014, and was subsequently charged alongside co-defendants Grey, Harriot, Jolly, Reid, Fennell, Cole, and Wallace.
