A man is now in hospital after the Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) truck he was driving crashed into a home in St James this afternoon.

The man reportedly lost control of the vehicle while coming down a hill on Barbados Avenue.

The truck then broke through a perimeter wall and into the bedroom of a home on Ramtally Boulevard.

The Gleaner Power 106 News Centre spoke with Anthony Morris, who was inside the dwelling at the time of the crash.

It is understood that the driver of the truck escaped without major injuries.

No one from the home was hurt.
