Thanks to a 38-1 upset by BROWN GIRL in the eighth race, the Pick-9 had no takers at Caymanas Park on Wednesday and the carryover to tomorrow stands at $1.39 million.
Both Super-6s were caught and start anew with guaranteed minimums of $750,000 each. The Pick-9 will embrace races two to 10, the first Super-6 from race one to six, the late Super-6 from race five to 10.
Although proving expensive to follow, the Anthony Nunes-trained TWILIGHT ROCKET with leading jockey Shane Ellis retaining the ride, should rebound in the opening race for maiden 4-y-os and up over 1500. His twin dangers in the seven-horse field are OMEGA and MY FAVOURITE DANCER, both of whom had him behind when second and third, respectively, to SMOKIN PRINCESS over 1300 metres on November 7.
