Dr Norman Dunn, the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) candidate for South East St Mary has promised to make life better for the people of South East St Mary if he unseats the incumbent People's National Party's Dr Winston Green.

The aspirant told Labourties at a JLP mass meeting in Richmond, St Mary that he was not invited into politics but felt compelled to enter to reverse the fortunes of St Mary under the representation of Green, a first-term MP.

According to Dunn, not only is youth unemployment in St Mary higher than the national average but Green has failed to ensure adequate water supply.

"It's not drought which is the cause of the water shortage in St Mary its poor representation from the present Member of Parliament," he said.

Dunn noted that years ago, Green declared that he would not rest until the parish was adequately supplied with water, but that has not come to reality.

"It is 2015 and nothing, is he still dreaming?" asked Dunn.
