A 59-year-old teacher of the prestigious St Richard's Primary School in St Andrew has been charged for injuring a student with a ruler.
The grade five teacher, Beverly Dinnall, was charged today and offered station bail at $50,000.
She is to appear before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on January five.
Dinnall is being represented by attorney-at-law,Peter Champagnie.
He told The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre that she was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
It's alleged that the teacher from Norbrook, hit the male student with a ruler, resulting in a shoulder injury.
Following a medical examination, a report was made to the police culminating in charges being brought against the teacher.
