Former West St Thomas Member of Parliament Anthony Hylton has yet again spoken of big plans for the old Goodyear factory in the parish.
According to Hylton, the idle facility will now become a special economic zone.
Two years ago Hylton announced that the old factory would be converted into a film lot.
That has not materialised.
Earlier plans to convert the old space into a technology park as part of the production train never got off the ground.
Hylton represented West St Thomas for two terms between 1993 and 2002 when he was voted out and replaced by James Robertson of the Jamaica Labour Party.
However, he argues that under Robertson's leadership, the constituency has not developed.
