The Jamaica dollar declined by seven cents to settle at $121.76 on Tuesday against the US dollar.
But the local currency racked up gains against its other two major partners, appreciating by $1.22 against the Canadian dollar at $87.35, at $1.49 against the pound at $170.63.
In the US dollar market, demand narrowly outpaced inflows. Traders sold US$39.6 million of currency, while buying up US$38 million.
The JMD has depreciated 1.12 per cent against the USD year to date.
