House Speaker Pearnel Charles evoked much laughter when he entered the chamber of Gordon House today wearing a wig - a tradition in the British Parliament.
"A wah dis?" one MP exclaimed.
Although the wig is a part of the attire for the Speaker of the House, it is not usually worn in tropical climates like Jamaica's.
The Clarendon Northern MP was not fazed by the laughter, however, and proceeded to take his seat to preside over the affairs of the House.
