Health Minister Dr Christopher Tufton is reporting that there have been 93 confirmed cases of the swine flu in Jamaica.
Tufton told the Standing Finance Committee of Parliament on Tuesday afternoon that more than 400 samples were tested for the virus.
The minister also reported that there have been eight confirmed cases of the Zika virus.
Responding to queries by the Opposition spokesman on health, Horace Dalley, the minister was reluctant to state whether his team felt that the worse had passed.
However, noting that the flu season is coming to an end, Tufton said Jamaica had done well to contain the virus.
At the same time, he stressed that proper hygiene be practiced by all Jamaicans.
