Gordon Swaby, chief executive officer and founder of EduFocal, has been selected as a guest speaker for the upcoming Global Entrepreneurship Summit in the United States later this month.
Swaby, founder of the social learning website for Grade Six Achievement Test students in Jamaica and Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate students within the Caribbean, has been invited by the United States Small Business Administration, the Blum Center and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to speak on 'Demand Solutions: Showcasing Latin America and the Caribbean Innovation and Entrepreneurship that Improves Lives,' at the Stanford University, California, on June 22.
The event is set to bring together some of the most innovative start-ups from Latin America and the Caribbean, policymakers and ecosystem builders, who will share their stories, challenges and achievements.
"I am very excited to speak at the IDB's Demand Solutions event. It is a great opportunity to talk with movers and shakers in the entrepreneurship and investment space with the potential to collaborate and share ideas. It also gives me the opportunity to highlight the great work that we are doing in Jamaica, and soon, the rest of the Caribbean," Swaby said.
