Fast-growing China-based telecoms equipment company Huawei Tech-nologies has surpassed projections for its state-of-the-art outlet in Tropical Plaza, St Andrew, which was opened on April 8.
The location, which is the first of its kind in the Caribbean and the hub for Huawei in the region, has performed quite well since opening, said Chrysta-Jaye Walker, marketing manager. To add to its offerings, Huawei has announced that the store now boasts a full-service centre, which offers a wide range of sales support and services such as repairs to phones via courier service, as well as repairs to phones irrespective of the status of the warranty.
Customers will be guided by an expert staff and can wait in comfort while repairs are being undertaken. Walker disclosed that the company strives to prioritise customers' needs and will tailor their devices and outlets to suit their needs.
"After-sale service is a key component in keeping our customers happy, so we decided to have a stronger presence here by creating a First-World service centre in Jamaica, the hub of our operations in the Caribbean," said Walker.
Convenient services for all Huawei users are available at the service centre, including a standard turnaround time of five days for phones that are sent in using the postal repair service process, while walk-in customers will be a two-hour wait, depending on the extent of the repair to the handset. Additionally, customers have the option of browsing while waiting and can use the devices in the store, as well as browse the accessory wall or use the devices at the game arena.
The Huawei Service Centre is open Mondays through Saturdays between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Huawei also offers a VIP service package for the Huawei Mate 8 customers, which entitles them to a two-year warranty and their first screen replacement free.
