KINGSTON:
Sports enthusiasts can celebrate a special new JustBet $20 minimum betting option introduced to coincide with the Games in Rio.
The new price point will allow more Jamaicans to vicariously participate in the Games through sports betting, at a lower cost.
"Everybody can now get involved," said Simone Clarke-Cooper, Supreme Ventures Limited's assistant vice-president, group corporate communications.
"For those who believe in Team Jamaica and want to place a bet on the athlete of their choice, it doesn't take very much, and they can have their own winning experience," she said.
In addition, JustBet has reintroduced its bet pad, to make betting process more seamless for players, who will now have an easier time placing bets.
While the minimum bet is $20, persons can opt to bet more if they so choose.
"With the excitement we feel around our athletes and expectations of how they will perform, our hope is that this new bet option will do very well," Clarke-Cooper said.
The $20 option is a permanent addition to the JustBet sports-betting options and will therefore still be available after the conclusion of the Olympic Games in Rio.
