The St Thomas police are investigating the killing of a woman in the community of Ramble.
The woman's body was found by passers by in a gully about noon today. It was stuffed in a barrel. It is believed she may have been killed elsewhere and the body dumped there.
Police say the woman's body is of brown complexion and appears to be in the 30s.
The circumstances surrounding her death are not yet clear, however, the police say a wire was found around her neck and her hands were bound behind her back. It is believed she was strangled.
The St Thomas Police are continuing their investigations.
