Popular entertainer Alkaline could face another round of questioning by police investigators today.
Alkaline, whose given name is Earlan Bartley, turned himself in to the Police Area Four headquarters in St Andrew yesterday morning accompanied by his attorney Peter Champagnie.
The police say he is being questioned in connection with the shooting death of Rohan Morris in the St Andrew community of Marverly last month.
The 23-year-old entertainer was questioned for several hours before he was transferred to the headquarters of the Criminal Investigations Branch and was expected to spend last night in police custody.
Speaking to The Gleaner/Power106 News Centre last evening, Champagnie declined to comment on whether Alkaline is being treated as a witness or a suspect.

While acknowledging that the law allows a 24-hour period of detention for persons in custody, Champagnie says he will be assessing the position taken by the police before deciding his next move.
He says Alkaline has professed his innocence to investigators and is doing his best to assist with the investigation.
