With high fuel costs and driver shortages, it's now more important than ever to improve the management of your fleet so that you can lower operational costs, improve fleet visibility, and driver satisfaction while complying with regulatory requirements.
In an effort to highlight the benefits of current product innovations relevant to the needs of their customers while underscoring the importance of fleet-management systems, Shell Petroleum Corporation recently brought together local and key industry stakeholders at a 'Shell lubricants Fleet Forum' held at the Spanish Court Hotel in New Kingston.
The forum saw Shell experts from across the Caribbean region and the Americas present the advantages of lubrication products, specifically those developed by Shell scientists for consumers. Actual product demonstrations were also held in different sessions during the day-long forum.
Sergio Roldan, regional marketing manager at Shell Lubricants, said that they were pleased with the opportunity to expose existing and potential customers to its products and services and to further cement their existing relationship with Sol Petroleum in the Caribbean region.
"We want our stakeholders to improve the management of their fleet so that they can lower their operational costs and maximize profit margins while improving their fleet visibility and the satisfaction of their drivers," Roldan said.
Shell is the number one global lubricant supplier, delivering market-leading lubricants to consumers in over 100 countries. Shell Lubricants boasts that it brings world-class technological insights to its products, while offering the best formulations for your vehicle.
According to Robert Jackson, general manager at Sol Petroleum Jamaica Limited, local macro distributors of Shell Lubricants in Jamaica, the objective of the forum was to target stakeholders in the transportation industry while introducing them to total solutions for fleet management and all the needs related to land transportation.
"It's not just about selling lubricants, but educating individuals on the solutions and values that our full-service packages entail. Our objectives for the forum were met, and based on the feedback from the gathering, we wish that more stakeholders had attended and benefitted from the presentations," Jackson said.
Presentation topics included the basic understanding of lubrication, understanding and analysing lubricants, training that is offered to customers, and tips on choosing lubricants wisely.
