Representatives of the Bank of Jamaica (BoJ) and the Bustamante Industrial Trade Union (BITU) are scheduled to meet today at the labour ministry amid the threat of industrial action by workers at the bank.
The Ministry of Labour and Social Security called the urgent meeting after the union issued a 72-hour Notice of Industrial Action last Thursday.
Workers are reportedly restive because of alleged anomalies in the compensation structure which exists at the Bank.
Today’s meeting is set for 10 o’clock in the morning.
