Another of the so-called police death squad trials is scheduled to get under way tomorrow in the Home Circuit Court in downtown Kingston.
Constable Collis ‘Chucky’ Brown, who was assigned to the Clarendon Police Division, will again be tried for murder.
Last month, Brown and Corporal Roan Morrison were found not guilty by a seven-member jury of the murder of 20-year-old Phaebian Dinnal and wounding with intent of another man.
The near five-week trial was the first of 11 such cases being prosecuted by the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM).
The cases involve allegations of murder, wounding and other criminal offences allegedly committed by police personnel who were attached to a so-called death squad attached to the Clarendon Police Division.
