Unity in the City has attracted significant corporate support. Andrew Roper, brand representative for KFC, addressed Tuesday's launch event at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel, New Kingston, saying: "It's going to be one of those events that people are going to be talking about for months and years down the road." He said KFC is happy to be part of an event which promotes fellowship, family, friendship and creative opportunities.
"We already know that it's going to be a big event; we already know that it's gonna be a blessed event, because of the line-up that's there," said Simone Mahabeer, marketing manager at Singer Jamaica Ltd, adding the company's endorsement. Laurel Whyte, sponsorship and events officer at JN Bank, and Analise Winter from Love 101 FM also stated their endorsement of the event.
"Comedy and music is just the best way to bring families together, because we know the Church has the best jokes," Winter said. "Ellis International is going to take off to another realm in this phase of their ministry, because now they are all Christians. It's going to be an awesome night and we're truly proud to be a part of it," she said.
JN Bank, Singer, Tru-Juice, and KFC are the main sponsors of Unity in the City: The Ultimate Experience. The event is also supported by SWOT Business Solutions, Main Events, TVJ, RETV, Love 101 FM, StreetCred Promotions, Business Access TV, and others.
Proceeds for the event will go towards charitable projects.
