Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Fitz Bailey is to take over as head of the Counter Terrorism and Organised Crime Division of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).
ACP Bailey replaces Assistant Commissioner Clifford Chambers, who will take over as commanding officer for the Police Area Three, which covers the parishes of Clarendon, Manchester and St Elizabeth.
The transfers were announced by Police Commissioner George Quallo on Friday as part of a major shake-up in the leadership of several police divisions.
A total of 22 officers are to take up new assignments effective August 2.
As part of the shake-up, the JCF’s Criminal Investigation Branch will have a new leader, with Assistant Commissioner Warren Clarke replacing Assistant Commissioner Ealan Powell.
Superintendent Enid Ross-Stewart is also out as head of the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) and is to be replaced by Superintendent Charmaine Shand.
