The police have removed five more illegal guns off the streets.

In one operation, the police reported that four guns were seized in the gritty community of Central Village in St Catherine yesterday.

The police further disclosed that three men and a woman have been taken into custody in connection with the seizure.

In another operation, a 12-gauge shotgun was found in an open lot on Payne Avenue, Hunts Bay in St Andrew.

Reports from the police are that about 1:50 p.m. yesterday, lawmen found the firearm along with two 12-gauge cartridges.

No one was arrested in relation to the seizure.
