The National Meteorological Service has discontinued the Flash Flood Watch issued for low-lying and flood-prone areas of Kingston, St Andrew, St Thomas, Portland and St Mary.
This flash flood watch was issued yesterday after a trough across the central Caribbean caused heavy rains over several eastern parishes.
However, the Met Service says while the trough is expected to remain across the island through to early next week, satellite imagery and radar reports show that there has been a decrease in shower activity over the last several hours.
It says the forecast is for cloudy conditions, with periods of showers and thunderstorms, to continue to affect sections of most parishes through to Tuesday.
