Two men have been shot after being ambushed by a gunman at a business place on Belmont Road in St Andrew.

The police say the two men were attacked as they drove into the parking lot of an insurance broker about 10:50 am.

Head of the St Andrew Central Police Division, Senior Superintendent Jacqueline Green, says the men were pounced upon by a gunman who fired several shots.

The injured men were taken to hospital.

Senior Superintendent Green is appealing for information about the attack.

It’s understood that one of the men was the husband of a woman who was recently murdered in St Andrew.
