Head of the St Catherine North Police, Senior Superintendent Beau Rigabie, says plans are in the pipeline to bring back into operation the police post in the Spanish Town bus park.

The bus park has been the site of multiple shootings and murders.

The police have reported that extortion and internal gang conflicts are behind these incidents.

SSP Ribagie says the police want to maintain a constant presence in the trouble spot to deter crime.

He has also disclosed that the division is working to have the recently established Green Acres Police Post, which was a gift, up and running soon.

The police post, which is unmanned, was recently burglarised.
