The three men allegedly held by the police in Portmore, St Catherine with over 2,000 pounds of ganja are to return to the St Catherine Parish Court on April 9.
The three: Gerald Samuels of Lacovia District in St Elizabeth, Calvin Robinson and Marlon Williams of Passagefort and Gregory Park in Portmore, St Catherine will remain on bail until that time.
Yesterday, they appeared before parish judge Alicia McIntosh.
They are jointly charged with conspiracy to export ganja, possession of ganja, dealing in ganja and taking steps to export ganja.
They are being represented by attorneys-at-law Walter Melbourne, Christopher Townsend and Pierre Rogers.
It is alleged that last year December, detectives from the Trans-National Crimes and Narcotics Division were on an operation along Dyke Road in Portmore when a Toyota Noah being driven by Samuels was signalled to stop.
The driver disobeyed.
A chase ensued and ended on the compound of a block factory in the municipality.
The vehicle was searched by the police and ganja weighing 2,354 pounds allegedly found inside.
The three men were arrested and later charged.
