Prime Minister Andrew Holness on Monday announced three additions to his executive pushing it to 26.
Zavia Mayne is the new state minister of Labour and Social Security; Alando Terrelonge, state minister for Entertainment, Culture, Gender and Sports; and, Dr Nigel Clarke, the new Finance Minister.
Here are five fast facts about the new appointees:
Zavia Mayne
1. Age 40
2. First time Member of Parliament for St Ann South Western
3. An attorney-at-law by profession at Zavia Mayne Law
4. Past student, York Castle High School
5. Holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of the West Indies and a law degree from the University of London
Alando Terrelonge
1. Age: 41
2. First-time Member of Parliament for St Catherine East Central
3. An attorney-at-Law by profession and a partner in the firm Bailey, Terrelonge and Allen
4. Past student of Campion College
5. Studied at the University of the West Indies and University of Warwick, United Kingdom
Dr Nigel Clarke
1. Member of Parliament for St Andrew North West
2. Rhodes Scholar
3. Holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Mathematics (Numerical Analysis) from Oxford University.
4. Former Vice Chairman of the Musson Group, Musson Group Chief Operating Officer
5. Awarded the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica ‘50 under 50’ Business Leadership Award in 2012.
