It was a very successful morning session for Jamaican athletes at the Flow Carifta Games in The Bahamas on Monday's final day of competition, as jumper Lamara Distin and Jordan Turner, picked up gold medals in their respective events.
Distin had a clearance of 1.85 metres in taking the girls under-20 high jump, but there was no luck for team-mate Annia Ashley, who finished just outside of the medals in fourth place with 1.79 metres.
Turner, competing in the boys under-17 long jump, picked up the country's second gold of the morning, with a winning leap of 6.92 metres. It was also bronze for Jamaica in the event, as Turner's teammate Luke Brown, finished third with 6.87 metres.
