The flash flood watch in place for low-lying and flood prone areas of all parishes has been extended until 5 am tomorrow.
This as the Meteorological Service says a trough across the western Caribbean continues to cause unstable weather across the region.
As a result, the Met Service says the forecast is for intermittent showers and thunderstorms -- which could be heavy at times -- to continue affecting the island tonight into tomorrow.
It says flash flooding is therefore a possible in low-lying and flood-prone areas.
A flash flood watch means that flooding is possible and residents should take precautionary measures, keep informed by listening to updates from the Met Service and be ready for quick action if flooding is observed or if a warning is issued.
