Guarded by gladiators and centred by a (positively) 'porcelain' statuesque male model, Campari adjusted the theme inside the Sky Dweller Lounge to give it 'A Taste of Italy' in celebration of Campari Week, highlighted with the participation of 20 restaurants and bars across the island.
On Wednesday, brand PR manager of J. Wray & Nephew Alison Moss-Solomon shared the floor with colleague Nadia Kiffin-Green, marketing manager of J. Wray & Nephew, and JWN Academy mixologist Milton Wisdom, who shed light on the appetising offerings that come along with Campari Week, which begins today.
"Persons are invited to come out and enjoy our take on Italian dishes and Campari specials," Wisdom said, noting that Campari Week would celebrate the versatility of the aperitif with the four local flagship cocktails: Campari Orange, Campari Grapefruit, Rumpari, and Campari Pink Passion.
Italian-inspired dishes will be served throughout 20 restaurants and bars across the island in Kingston, Clarendon, Hanover, St James, Trelawny, and St Mary. The locations will tweak their menus to reflect offerings reminiscent of savoury, creamy Italian dishes and offer a complimentary Campari drink with the meal.
Countries across the region, including Trinidad and Tobago, St Lucia, Barbados, The Bahamas and Belize, will also participate in the global event.
The promotion promises pop-ups from local celebrities, cocktail specials, giveaways, and other activities.
Campari Week runs until Saturday, June 30. Participating locations are Sky Dweller Lounge, Pier 1, Ribbiz, So-So Seafood, Something Fishy, M10, Murrays, Russell T20, UBT & R, Macau Twin Gates Lounge, Footprints; Jungle Fiah; Sharkies, 8 Rivas; Kenny's Italian Cafe, Father Bull, Chill Out Hut; Jerk Island, and 100.
