Carolyn Warren, the former managing director of the government-owned firm, National Energy Solutions Limited (NESoL), has now acknowledged that she had more than one criminal conviction.
Yesterday, Warren confirmed information obtained by The Gleaner that she was convicted for six offences - five of them drug-related - arising from three incidents dating back to 1993.
Further, she told The Gleaner yesterday that she now understood the concerns about her failure to disclose the convictions when she applied for the job but insisted that she was not aware that she was required to inform her new employers.
"It is the first time I am working with the Government. When I went and did my interview, nobody asked me that. If that [question] was on the paper, I would have said yes," she said.
Warren first acknowledged that she had one criminal conviction dating back more than two decades ago after Opposition Spokesman on Energy Phillip Paulwell made it public then called for her resignation.
On Monday, she admitted that she was aware of information being circulated that she had multiple convictions but dismissed it as "false".
Warren tendered her resignation as managing director of NESoL on Wednesday.
