1. Jamaica has certainly come a long way. We are talking about a recent same sex wedding which attracted more than 150 guests and this was in a rural setting. And don't think all the guests were foreigners, many locals were in attendance to see the groom and his bride take their vows.

2. So many unemployed in Jamaica with no job prospects. But wait - how about professional funeral mourners? A good living can be made by those who can bawl well. Some people feel that a funeral is no good if there isn't good, strong bawling, but uptown people hold their grief rather stoically.

3. To have two ex-husbands die in one month is very painful. And to pour oil on troubled waters, some are saying she will have to be dressed in black clothing for outer and inner wear for the rest of this year!
